SOAS COLLEGE- NATIONAL UNDER 16 CHAMPION
3 tries from SOASs’ College No.8 clinched the 2008 under 16 championship for SOAS. The game against Sekolah Awang Semaun was the decider for the championship.
SOAS came into the game knowing that they need to score at least 4 tries or to score more than 5 points to surpass Jerudong International School for the championship, and they did a pretty good job by beating Sekolah Awang Semaun 24-12.
SOAS college starts well, with 3 tries and one conversion, leading Sekolah Awang Semaun 17 to nil, but choked after the breather when Sekolah Awang Semaun came back with a try under the post. SOAS manage to score the much awaited try 5 minutes after that but Sekolah Awang Semaun came back with a try of its own.
SOAS came back with its forward power and scored another try and a conversion to secure their championship.
